Maggy Awards, Spring Market and More!
Dear Esteamed Family,,
We are so excited to share the latest news with you from Esteamed Coffee! Spring is in full bloom at the cafe, with a festive seasonal menu, warm weather merchandise, and more.
There is certainly a lot to celebrate this April, including our team winning a well-deserved award and our second annual Spring Inclusive Artist's Market. We hope to see you there on April 12th! Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the Esteamed Express.
Julie Walker
Executive Director
We are so excited to announce that Esteamed Coffee has won the 2025 Maggy Award for "Best Coffee House" from Cary Magazine! Voted on by community members throughout the area, these awards highlight the best in business in western Wake County.
Did you know that this is Esteamed Coffee's fourth Maggy Award in a row? The photo above shows our team celebrating at last year's Maggy Award party! These awards are a testament not just to the amazing support of our community, but also to the incredible abilities of our team. We are so grateful to everyone who voted for Esteamed Coffee and who puts their trust in us every day. We are looking forward to our fifth award in 2026!
It's that time again - stop by Esteamed Coffee on Saturday, April 12th between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to shop for art from eleven different vendors who identify as part of the disability community. Find paintings, fabric items, soaps, jewelry, photography, birdhouses, and more! Artists will receive all proceeds from sales at the outdoor market, which will be located beside and behind the cafe. The coffee shop will also be open for you to enjoy our delicious drinks, including our fun new spring menu.
Please note: this event is taking place on the same day as the popular Pimento Cheese Festival in Downtown Cary. We appreciate your patience as you get your coffee.
Be sure to follow our social media for updates about special events, staff successes, and more, and we can't wait to see you on the 12th!
Last month, team members Austin and Ryan took the mission on the road to serve coffee and pastries at one of StepUp Ministry's bimonthly "Community Cares Collaborative" luncheons. These events, co-sponsored by the City of Raleigh, bring together up to 80 individuals from non-profit and community organizations. The topic for this lunch was "All Abilities, All Voices: A
Conversation on Disability Empowerment." It featured a panel of representatives from different disability service agencies, including our own Executive Director!
Being able to demonstrate the benefits and importance of hiring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities aligned perfectly with the discussion, and Austin and Ryan did a great job working offsite! We were honored to be a part of this important day, and look forward to getting our team out in the community again soon.
Your donation helps Esteamed Coffee's staff and all people with disabilities have a place where belonging meets community.
